ABOUT US

Storacall TeleAcoustics Limited has been trading since 1976. The company started to manufacture and supply acoustic telephone hoods, mainly for the payphone sector, with annual contracts with the larger operators such as British Telecom.

Over the years the range of products has grown and now includes hoods for industrial, commercial and leisure industries as well as specialised marine hoods, cabinets and kiosks used by the oil and gas industry. The majority of hoods found in public buildings in the UK are manufactured by Storacall TeleAcoustics.

With the advent of the internet our products are now global and can be found from Alaska to Australia, deserts in the Middle East, remote depths of the South American jungle, islands in the Indian Ocean, power plants in Turkmenistan and Inner Mongolia, nearer to home there is probably one in your local library or council office.

The payphone sector is still important, despite the popularity of the mobile, in hospitals, prisons and some public buildings mobiles are not allowed so payphones are still required.

Telephone cabinets provide vital communications for emergency, information or security applications and again these can be found in, or outside, many public buildings.

The largest growth area is the oil and gas associated products, these now account for more than half our turnover, the majority being exported, so we are in a small way helping the UK economy.
