Whether you are selling a product or providing a service, you know how important it is for your organisation to handle incoming telephone calls efficiently and professionally. After all, a lost call can not only mean the loss of good will, but lost business as well.

A CS-D40 digital call sequencer from Storacall guarantees a prompt answer to every incoming call: in busy periods, callers are put on hold automatically, queued, screened, or referred elsewhere. The result is fewer lost calls, less stress on callers and staff, and improved company image and efficiency.

Sequencing

During busy periods, it is often difficult to know which call should be answered next. The CS-D40 helps ensure that incoming calls are dealt with on a first-called, first-answered basis.

Easy-to-understand displays on the sequencer's operator console, or on up to eight remote monitors connected to it, let your staff know the number of calls awaiting attention and which call has been waiting the longest.

A two-tier alarm system can be set to give audible or visual warnings when a call on hold has exceeded pre-determined time limits. So callers are answered on an equitable basis, and not kept on hold for undue periods.

The CS-D40 can handle up to 40 lines, and these can be split into three separate groups (split gates). This means, for example, that different departments within an organisation may have their own call sequencing facility. Reassurance Inevitably, there are going to be times when an incoming call cannot be given immediate attention - but this needn't work to your disadvantage.

With a CS-D40, incoming calls are answered automatically after a pre-set number of rings, variable between one and seven. The caller is then played a message, which can be anything up to eight minutes long, reassuring them that they have dialled the right number and are in a queue. The CS-D40 then puts the caller on hold and plays music or information from either an internal or external source. If after a pre-set interval the caller is still on hold, the sequencer can be programmed to play a second message to apologise for the delay and let them know that their call is nearing the front of the queue.

Out of hours, the CS-D40 can act as a multi-line telephone answering machine, advising callers of your opening times or alternative phone numbers. The CS-D40 can store up to three separate announcements. These may be assigned over different line groups, or switched automatically at various times of the day using the sequencer's built-in timer. So you don't need to remember to reset the unit.
